We’re looking for young people aged 16 – 30 who live, work or study in the London Borough of Merton.
We need your help to improve the health and wellbeing of people in your local community.
Working with us and local public health leaders, you’ll get to hear the views of other young people in Merton, and find out the impact Covid-19 had on them and their families. Then, you’ll help develop resources to improve the health and wellbeing of your local community for the future.
In return, you’ll have the chance to…
The project will run for six months and you’ll meet as a group in person and online.
You’ll be supported by Merton Peer Educator Leaders, young people who also live in Merton and want to support their peers with this project.
I want to help support young people within the borough whose voices may not be heard, and find out how Covid has impacted them, and help them to move past it.
I want to better help people, especially when it comes to them accessing health care facilities.
I work with young and vulnerable people within the community and would love to enhance the skills I already have or gain new ones!
I want to make a positive change in my community, especially when it comes to mental health and the support which is currently available. Different people handle situations differently and that should be reflected in the help they receive.
I want to meet new people and to help young people with additional needs to access jobs post Covid-19.
I want to help improve the wellbeing of both staff and patients in healthcare.
I want to be equipped with the skills to advise other people on how they can pursue their goals and dreams.
I want to give back to my community, to learn about any current issues that people in Merton are experiencing and work to think about how we can tackle these issues together.
I want to start doing projects to help my local community.
